As I was photographing a beautiful sunrise from a spot with a grand sweeping view, I happened to look down and notice how interesting the ground beneath my feet was. I took this image just for a memory, but decided it's actually worth sharing. I love how it's a visual representation of the changing seasons. Leaves have fallen to the ground but still hold onto a bit of color, a blanket of frost sucks life from the leaves as the bitter cold of winter sets in. I love our seasons here in the Northwest, what about you?
