Seems like the Fall rains have finally decided to settle, here in the Pacific Northwest. As I type it's raining buckets with no signs of stopping anytime soon. I love the change of weather and sure does make me appreciate taking the time to enjoy that one last warm "Indian Summer" sunset last week on October 9th. Shortly after the previous image, I remembered how much I loved the symmetry looking down the Gorge and wanted to show it better, so I took 5 images, each with a long 20 second exposure, and joined them together to make this panorama. I love the smoothness of the water and contrast in the ridge lines. The absence of clouds was actually nice in this image too. In this kind of light, you cannot see anything man-made such as houses, railroad tracks, roads, etc. Almost looks like this scene could be remote wilderness, which of course it is far from being!
