This image has a lot of sentimental value to myself, as I took it in 1999, during one of my first times out exploring the world of night photography. This tree (it has since toppled over) is in a gravel pit near Mark Hatfield State Park, just east of downtown Hood River. I remember seeing the moonrise and getting pretty excited when I moved around to make this composition!
